Tracking and Reporting Example

This example demonstrates how to Download and Save form data from the action form.

Save Form Data

  1. On the Tracking and Reporting (Step 4: Tracking) page, the Save Report in Database check box, identified with the blue arrow on Figure 1, is selected. This option saves the form data submitted by the user.

  2. The Save button is used to save the changes and return to the action form.

Input Form Data

On the action form main page, displayed on Figure 2, shows three text fields for entering user information. 
  1. In the First Name text field, John is entered for the first name.

  2. In the Last Name text field, Smith is entered for the last name.

  3. In the Email text field, johnsmith@yahoo.com is entered for the email address.

  4. The Submit button, identified with the blue arrow on Figure 2, is used to submit the data entered.

Download Data

To download the data submitted on the action form you will need to return to the Tracking and Reporting (Step 4: Tracking) page.
  1. The View Current Report link, identified with the green arrow on Figure 1, is used to open the Form Reports page.

  2. On the Form Reports page, the same dates are entered for the Start Date and End Date fields. All data submitted on the action form for this date is downloaded.

  3. This downloads the CSV file with the all the data submitted on the action form for this specific date.

  • The CSV file is downloaded and opened with Microsoft Excel, identified on Figure 4. It displays the data submitted from the action form, including other data. The data submitted from the action form is highlighted in yellow on Figure 4
